Main function of the job

  • Handling customer quality issues and managing customer complaints to effective resolution
  • Handling in-plant quality issues so as to protect the internal / external customer.
  • Managing customer quality expectations by proactively establishing, managing and improving deployment of quality standards, metrology and quality tools within the plant to ensure consistent product quality
  • Handling metrology (equipment capability, status and calibration)
  • managing Supplier Quality and to ensure the quality of incoming products from suppliers.
  • Supplier Quality assessment, Process Audits at supplier end & problem solving related with incoming material deficiencies

Required qualification

Eng. Degree or Diploma

Required experience

Min 3 to 4 years exp from engineering & operations

Requirement of specialized knowledge / certification, if any

Responsibilities

  • key point of contact for customer returns / complaints related to Quality issue. Will be responsible for understanding the problem statement clearly and then channeling the complaints to the right individuals/teams for resolution.
  • Responsible for discussing containment, corrective and preventive actions with the internal and external customer.
  • Interact with source plants to resolve customer complaints related with imported products.
  • The individual will work as part of problem-solving teams as a voice of the customer and will participate in the problem solving to minimize recurrence.
  • Will lead/participate in the QOS process to systematically reduce customer complaints and increase customer satisfaction. Will play a leadership role in customer complaint related metrics.
  • Work closely with the manufacturing team to ensure that the Quality System is deployed on shop floor
  • Equipment and gauge calibration
  • Responsible to initiate continuous improvement on Quality related matrix to achieve set targets along with YOY improvements
  • Identification and Assessment of Suppliers, Periodic QSA and Process audits
  • Monitor supplier DPPM and report on monthly basis. Work with suppliers on continuous improvement / problem solving initiatives to achieve zero DPPM as ultimate goal. Regular reviews to monitor Suppliers Quality Performance & drive Continuous improvements.
  • Attend day-to-day incoming and production Quality issues to ensure problems are resolved
  • Conduct basic problem solving and root cause analysis activities in order to eliminate recurrence of non-conformities, utilizing the known techniques /processes like 8D /QOS.
  • Import parts – focus on appearance, packaging, key performance issues
  • Other responsibilities as needed.

  • Inspecting materials, equipment, processes and products to ensure quality specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with standards, identify issues & their solutions.
